New stuff

I got anotehr Fire Warrior squad and a Sniper Drone team as presents. This is jsut some close ups of the Fire Warrior. I am getting better, but I still need to get better at the line detail. I think maybe I second pass can sharpen the edges. Also I thinned the paint a bit and got a worn look. I am not sure I like it or not, but another pass at that will get a more uniform look.

IG v Tau 1000pts

This was an Anihillation mission. And the Tau was Anihillated. My tau lost 7 units out of 8 leaving only the Devilfish. I only managed to take out 2 IG units completely.

Lessons learned:

The Fish of Fury attack has failed twice now. I get into position and fire 24 shots , but only take out 2. Then my Firewarriors get destroyed by return fire. If I am to continue to try FoF attacks I need to find units out of cover. The IG's cover gave them 4+ saves. Out of cover they would have gotten no save because my weapon AP is enough to penetrate their armor. Another option is to deploy into cover. Also I need to check skimmer rules. I am not sure if I get cover saves with the Devilfish on a high base.

Also, my commander needs to be more active. I am afraid to use him, but when I did he does serious damage, especially against normal troops.

My stealthsuits need to be used better. Their armor saves kick butt. I need to use Jump-Shoot-Jump more.

I haven't posted much , because I haven't done much. I have bought a few more peices to get up to a 1000 point army.

I am playing my friend soon though! We are the ones that decided to venture into this and finally we get to play. It will be a 500 point or so battle between Tau and Ultra Marines. Mine will be the same army as my first battle report. His will be the Ultramarines from Assault On Black Reach.
